The focus has been square dancing...you are going to get really tired of that, but there ya go :) We really want to graduate at the top of our class so that we can dance across the US while on our big summer trip this year. We have friends all over that are busy doing other things, traveling to foreign places, buying homes in new states, friends that have passed on. Life keeps happening around us, while we are truly enjoying ours. We still continue to attend classes at two different Square Dance clubs, one here in Livingston called Boots & Babes, and another over in Onalaska called Levis and Lace. We also went to a BIG dance on the 24th for the Conroe Country Cousins called Go Texan. We danced all of the mainstream dances and had a great time! We took our motorhome to the dance and spent the weekend there since we also enjoyed the potluck on Friday, the BBQ and dance on Saturday and then a great breakfast on Sunday morning that the guys cooked up. What a great bunch of people we have met. It's all John and Carol's fault and we thank them for it ;) I don't have too many pics this month, in fact, very few other than Square Dancing! I know you will get bored with them so I will share just a few. I have always wanted to wear Square Dancing outfits since I was in High School and now I get my chance, so here are a few outfits that I have managed to bid on and purchase from eBay... what a great way to shop :)

| I am into purple... this is a new outfit, Jim's is from our old urban cowboy days... | This is a mix and match outfit, I bought the skirt separate, the blouse has another skirt (all turquoise with lace) that goes with it... I love the colors.

Another purple outfit with lots of fun colors! |
| The caller from B&B, Mike Burnham, helped us with a workshop so that we could finish learning all of the mainstream moves. We really needed these moves to be able to dance at a regular dance. We had enough people there to put 2 squares together, thanks to everyone that helped out. 9 of the 16 people were students, the others are regular dancers that we call "angels".

I think we are doing what is called "weave the ring" here... |
| Randy took the pictures at the workshop and also ran a couple of videos so that you could actually see that we can move to the music. Here are a couple of short ones that you can watch if you so choose, and yes, there is music, so turn on your sound :) | |

| Other things besides square dancing... I have been busy going to the Chiropractor 3 times a week since the beginning of January after being rear-ended in our car. Jim and I also go in for a massage once a week, him for his back (since he is still working) and mine for the accident. It is amazing how each of these things can take up to 3 hours out your day. We took a day off and went with a group of friends on a bus ride from here to Kinder, LA to go gambling at the Coushatta Casino on Valentine's Day. It is about a 3 hour ride/drive one way, so being able to relax on the bus going there and coming back was a treat. We lost money but had a great time doing it :) We also enjoyed the buffet for dinner in-between the ka-ching of the slot machines. We have also been busy planning on all the things we have to get done to leave the house in March. We will be hitting the road in 3 weeks, heading to the Florida Keys for my 50th birthday. We then spend a few extra days in Ft. Meyers and then start our trek back towards the west coast and then up to the NW for the summer. We should be in Portland, OR for Memorial Weekend in May. There will be lots of pictures along the way... along with wine tasting, visiting friends and square dancing. Stay tuned... Kim & Jim |
