It's all about Acadia Nat'l Park... |
|
| That is one of the biggest draws to
Maine and definitely to Bar Harbor,
Acadia National
Park. We came to enjoy a couple weeks of it and the see
some of the other things like the Maine Coast. Here is a
little bit about what we enjoyed while there. This was our first day into the park. |

| The troops heading into the visitors center, we need to find out what is going on, get maps, and you have to pay to drive through the park. Luckily, Jim has an "old farts" Golden Age Pass, so we could drive around for free! | As we started our drive on the Park Loop Road, to check out some of the sights; this was some of the islands in Frenchman's Bay along with anchored lobster boats. |

| The tide is coming in, so here is a little show of what it would look like. When the tide is truly in, I guess you can get pretty wet. | Hanging out at the bottom of the ramp where you can see the Thunder Hole. |

| Dave, Vicki & Jim conferring with one of the rangers. The fog is starting to come down if you look closely at the hills in the background. | We saved the top of Cadillac Mtn for the end of the day, it looks like we made the wrong decision, it was socked in with fog once we got to the top. |
| Dave & Vicki only have a couple of days
to enjoy the park, so on the second day we split up. Dave &
Vicki are going to rent bikes and do a little riding around the
carriage trails (no cars allowed). Jim and I are going to
check out a few other things. This is what Jim and I saw... |
